Summer 2016 Exhibitions & Events
Groveland Gallery is pleased to present unique programming celebrating the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service. This summer-long series of special exhibitions and events begins with two new shows: America’s River, an exhibition of paintings by Thomas Paquette, and Sea to Sea, a group show by Groveland Gallery artists and guests. The gallery will also host several events to accompany these exhibitions including four Plein Air Painting Workshops; a National Park Artist Talk & Slide Show by Groveland artists who have held artist residencies in national parks; and River of Ink: A History of Mississippi Travel Writing, a gallery talk by Patrick Coleman. In addition, the Plein Air SmackDown returns for its sixth year with a new location. This popular paint-off event is headed to the Mississippi riverfront.
