This new body of work is a combination of still life, diptych and narrative
paintings. Some depict real experiences. Others are inventions. Several still
lives are based directly on memories of my father. Whereas most of the
figurative pieces combine random images to create a narrative.
As a lifetime student, I strive to see more deeply and speak more clearly. Using
traditional painting techniques, I attempt to express emotion and create a
contemporary statement. Hopefully, the viewer will find common ground with
these everyday images.
