FEET IN THE GRASS

Groveland Gallery Artists Exhibition

July 11 - August 22, 2026

FEET IN THE GRASS

Celebrating the calm inducing and restorative nature of artworks featuring nature, open-air “Plein Air” art painting and really putting your feet in the grass. In the moment, taking a deep breath, connecting physically with the earth. Painting out of doors allows one to slow down and see nature, in weather and nature of all sorts. We invite you to put your feet in the grass!

FEET IN THE GRASS: Group Exhibition features 65 works from our Groveland Gallery Artists which capture the impressions, feelings and time spent with regional landscapes that have been inspired by our revered Minnesota North Shore, Gooseberry Falls, North woods and all the way through the rolling hills of Wisconsin to Madison. Oil on canvas Plein Air paintings, oil paintings, found metal wire sculptures and 72″ x 72″ paintings by Groveland Gallery Founder Hank Rowan. Featured artists include Katherine Steichen Rosing, Dan O’Kane, Richard Abraham, Christopher Copeland, Kathleen Krishnan, Andrew Wykes, Phil Lichtenhan and Dan Mackerman.

Groveland Gallery is just up the hill from the Walker Art Center at 25 Groveland Terrace, with easy off-street parking, additional street parking free on weekends, and a short walk from the Walker’s cozy underground parking ramp.
